“Climbers” grows from my fascination with the searching intelligence of climbing plants. The woven forms reach, curl, fold, and unfurl, echoing circumnutation—the circular movement through which vines feel out their surroundings and find their way forward. I think of these movements as a kind of embodied thinking: growth unfolding through touch, encounter, and response rather than following a fixed path. Weaving becomes part of this same organic vocabulary. Threads cross, hold, wrap, and bind, allowing the sculptures to behave like living forms that weave themselves into the world around them.
