SVA MFA Open Studios. Fall 2014

Interactive multimedia sculptural Installation and sound 7 ft x 7 ft x 6.5 ft, 2015

In this installation, I combine formal components of domestic reality with constructivist theatrical elements. The shape of the megaphones reminds us of outdated objects or toys rather than real objects. Their past revolutionary function is blended in a weird surrealist combination with the domestic textures of linoleum, small fetishized plants, and long-legged night tables. This installation I address collective fears and myths haunted by Soviet ideology, exuding a sense of apathy and inaction.
