Interactive multimedia sculptural Installation and sound 7 ft x 7 ft x 6.5 ft, 2015
In this installation, I combine formal components of domestic reality with constructivist theatrical elements. The shape of the megaphones reminds of outdated objects or toys rather than real objects. Their past revolutionary function becomes surreal when it overlaps with the domestic textures of linoleum, small fetishized plants, and long-legged night tables. This installation addresses collective fears and myths haunted by Soviet ideology.
