For the exhibition “Stop The Invasion”
“Flower To Empower” is an interdisciplinary performance that represents an ongoing resistance to the Russian invasion and the war in Ukraine. By the means of the flowers as symbols of life and death, resilience and transformation, Halfin relates to the land and places in Ukraine that are freed or yet to be freed from Russian Invasion.
She positions herself on the map and speaks from the place she was born at: Crimea, the annexed territory of Ukraine. She symbolically relates to the current situation and weaves the flowers into the collective net while saying out loud prayers for Ukraine.
