In this performance I resist stereotyping and abuse and claim the right to experience pleasure. During performance I wear blue gloves and touch my body and then ask the viewer to wear them and touch me.
Gloves reference almost medical detachment from my body that I was forced to impose on myself in order to fit and survive in societies I lived in. By exhibiting body violence on myself I pay attention of the viewer to its abusive nature and collectively reclaim bodily potential. Every once in a while I exhibit a set of the push ups that symbolize resistance and break up from the oppressive proximity of the gloves.
